Compass Life Sciences support a leading US Pharma expand into Europe

Compass Life Sciences were referred by a recently appointed Senior Director at a US Pharmaceutical business considered to be market leaders in cardiovascular disease management, as a recruitment organisation who had the knowledge, credibility, and capability to support a global expansion. Following outstanding results in America, the business had firm sights set at European expansion as part of the next stage of the company’s development.

Following an introductory call where CLS were able to present recent track record of delivery, as well as outstanding market insight, the business mandated the team with five initial vacancies to ascertain whether or not the team could deliver. In the space of 3 weeks, the Medical Affairs and Commercial Operations divisions were able to deliver 12 profiles closely matching the brief, resulting in 10 interviews, and 4 appointments made first time – ranging from multiple Medical Science Liaisons, through to an EU Marketing Lead.

Consequently, Compass Life Sciences have been tasked with supporting a further 40 vacancies (including multiple headcount roles), ranging from General Managers for specific European territories; Medical Science Liaisons in Spain, Finland and the Netherlands; Medical Advisors and Directors in Germany and France; alongside commercial team builds in Italy and Spain – typically Regional Business Managers, Key Account Managers and Commercial leadership teams.

In the course of eight weeks, the team has:

• Sent 55 profiles for the 44 jobs
• Arranged 35 interviews – with indications of more to follow
• Extended 12 offers so far
